Clash of Clans just rolled out a new update this June 2026, introducing the new Hero Journey system, a new troop, a new spell, new hero levels, new building levels, and more.
The brand-new Hero Journey system is designed to make Hero upgrades feel rewarding via points. This system grants one point for every hero level upgrade, and each upgrade point unlocks a reward.
Here's what rewards await in the Hero Journey system:
• Epic Equipment (with fallback Starry Ore x50 if already owned)
• Exclusive Ascended Hero Skins
• Elixir and Dark Elixir
• Magic Items and Snacks (Books, Potions, Runes, and more)
• Ores (Shiny, Glowy, and Starry)
• Hero & Equipment Quests
Players with Town Hall 7 can unlock the new system via the Hero Hall. Aside from the point tracker, there are tasks on the Hero Journey to finish in exchange for reward chests as well.
Meanwhile, players with maxed hero levels are automatically granted all previous rewards in the journey tracker and receive an exclusive mastery skin. All rewards can be claimed only within seven days.
Another improvement added to the game is the Clan Capital Treasury, which can hold the excess capital gold earned by the entire clan. Golds will be released only when new upgrade levels for Clan Capital arrives.
The update also added the new troop Ruin Witch to the roster, currently upgradable up to level 4 only. Ruin Witch is considerably unique among other troops as she summons the Ruin Knight based on the destroyed buildings. When all the destroyed buildings finally cleaned up, she will just stay still.
A brand new spell called Angry spell also arrived in the game. When the troops within the 6 tile radius is in contact with this spell , they will start targeting the nearby defenses.
Select buildings and troops recieved a new levels, including Monolith (Level 5), Builder’s Hut (Level 8), Dark Spell Factory (Level 8), Dark Barracks (Level 13), Supercharges for X-Bow and Scattershot, and Wall upgrades. Meanwhile, Barbarian King, Archer Queen, and Grand Warden are receiving +5 levels each.
The highly requested fastforward feature is finally making it to game, allowing players to speed up gameplay to 4x speed after 120 seconds in the attack. This feature will be available in the Home Village, Builder Base, and Clan Capital battle modes.
