Last May 16 and 17, the Cyberzone Game Fest was held at the SM Mall of Asia, where gaming enthusiasts and tech fans, as well as representatives of the local game development community, were brought together to celebrate gaming.
The event, co-presented by Acer Philippines and OPPO Philippines, featured various interactive activities and gaming experiences. New technology has been showcased as well, demonstrating the recent developments in digital entertainment and gaming culture.
One of the event's main attractions was the DEV DEN area, which was organized with the Game Developers Association of the Philippines. This section in the Cyberzone Game Fest was where the Filipino indie developers exhibited the games they had originally developed. Their games were showcased through live demonstrations and were available for public playtesting sessions.
Through the DEV DEN area, local developers were given the platform to interact with the eventgoers and introduce local-made games to the community.
After being held at SM MOA, the next leg of the Cyberzone Game Fest will take place this coming May 23 and 24 at SM City Fairview. The festival will also be held in the Visayas and Mindanao in June, with SM Iloilo scheduled on June 13-14, while SM Davao will be on June 27-28.
