2 PSUs 1 Motherboard question

I’ve looked around but couldn’t quite find a clear answer. Do you have to plug in dual PSUs to the same outlet? Or can you plug them into different outlets to distribute wattage? I assume they have to be on the same circuit from 1 outlet but just seeing if anyone has done it differently?
