2K's strategy game Conquests and Alliances has officially rebranded to Civilization: Eras and Allies

2K Games has officially rebranded its mobile strategy game Conquest and Alliances to Civilization: Eras and Allies. It is set to join the popular Civilization franchise and has already made a soft launch in selected regions for several months.

Now officially called Civilization: Eras and Allies, it is a free-to-play 4x Empire Builder mobile strategy game. The game will allow players to travel through history and take on the roles of notable leaders, including Sun Tsu, Joan of Arc, and Julius Caesar.

It is a real-time strategy game in which players will take control of their kingdom, engage in wars, and invade other kingdoms. The players will make decisions regarding leading, combating, and diplomacy. Also, there will be cross-era battles, enabling renowned leaders to fight against each other.

2K Games spokesperson stated, "Civilization: Eras & Allies is a new standalone free-to-play mobile 4X social strategy game, featuring exciting new gameplay mechanics designed with the mobile social strategy gamer in mind.”

Civilization: Eras and Allies assure players of a captivating journey through various historical landscapes and the rise and fall of the great empires. The game will feature a time-limited game season, presenting new challenges and opportunities from ancient civilizations to the medieval period.

The developer also revealed that they were working with a third-party developer specializing in mobile social strategy games to develop Civilization: Eras and Allies; hence, the release of Civilization 7 will not be affected by this rebranding.

However, the rebranding does not imply a full release of the game, and the developer revealed plans to add more regions for early access, so watch out for more details.
