8v8 PUBG Mobile’s new Santorini TDM map is now live

It used to be difficult to put together a full team of four people, but the new Arena map in PUBG Mobile now allows you to play with up to seven other players. The game's newest stage, the Santorini Arena, features intense eight-on-eight team deathmatch fights.

Because Santorini is larger than the other PUBG Mobile TDM maps, it can hold up to 16 players at a time. There are several sniping spots along the lengthy roadways, but an assault rifle, which excels at both near and long-range sniping, will be the best weapon for the job.

The first team to reach 80 kills wins the match in Santorini, which lasts 10 minutes. If no team can hit this kill score by the time limit, the team with the more kills will be adjourned as the winners.

Santorini is a major tourist destination and one of the most well-known Greek islands. Tencent appears to be collaborating with the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) to promote the island in PUBG Mobile, based on the branding used in the announcement of the new map. In the South-eastern European country, the GNTO is the government body in charge of tourism promotion.

Although PUBG Mobile is known for its massive collaborations, this is the first time the game has teamed up with a government agency to develop an in-game feature. Later this month, the game will hook together with the popular manga series Jujutsu Kaisen for another major collaboration. So far, no information regarding it has been released.
