Abaddon Guide we will discuss the Advantages, Weaknesses Drafting, Skill Build, Item Build, and Gameplay and Friends and Enemies

Abaddon is one example the hero that HARD to kill. That's because the aphotic shield and his borrowed time. So to become the Durable Abaddon does not require expensive item. Therefore in any battle, he is more suitable as support.

Advantages:
  • Free Eye of Skadi From Curse of Avernus skill
  • Not so require any expensive items
  • Have debuff Skill, which blocks the spell effects (duration)
  • Can deny himself
  • Hard to be killed !!
Weaknesses:
  • Do not have disable skill
  • Low Mana capacity
  • Melee
Do not pick:
  • If your opponent Axe.
  • Your team carry shortage. Abaddon has potential, but is more oriented to "support"
  • And of course a lot of opponents who pick the Silencer and Mana Burner.
Pick:
  • You need a guard for the carry.
  • Your team need an artist to dispell buffs and also Durable.
  • Know how to use spell correctly.
Role: Durable - Support - Carry

Always take aphotic shield at level 1, because it is the most useful skill at level 1 than the other skills. For backstab, or lane assisting and it also can save your friend in early.

Max level for Mist coil is a MUST !, this skill very well be useful to attack the opponent, and as a support also because these skills are active 'nuke', so it can help carry your friend get the last hit. Well .. this skill is also suitable in the early to heal a friend, help him to survive longer in the lane to gaining a level. Another reason why Mist coil is, because of the mana cost of skill that only 80 (level 4) and the cooldown only 5 sec. Borrowed Time is very useful to counter at a critical time to receive enemies damage.

Curse of Avernus is a complementary skill, you may take or even not taken. Useful for certain battle, for example, if many enemies are melee hero, you need to take in mid or even in the early game to help chase. But in the battle, if the enemy mostly stunner/disabler / slower (range), this skill becomes less useful, grab this skill in the late game.

Effective for aggressive lane (for your team), especially when your enemy are melee hero. Curse of Avernus will be a slow weapon that is very detrimental to the enemy

Early Game

First Items:
  • Tango
  • Healing Salve
  • Iron Branch
  • Iron Branch
  • Iron Branch
Core Items:
  • Ring of Basilius
  • Boots of Speed
  • Hood of Defiance
Bonus Mana regeneration and armor. It is important for Abaddon mana regen. Boots of Speed ? its a MUST ! and the hood for HP regeneration and especially spell resistance to strengthen the aphotic shield. Next will be upgraded to Pipe for a team.

Strategy: Because melee, so you should play at the top or bottom lane. This means that you play a dual lane because abaddon actually not the hero who is good doing lane control alone. but because you are hero support, I suggest with a carry, help him get the last hit, heal him, use an aphotic shield, safety is your responsibility, make it last longer in the lane.
Early game is not a good time for you, because you should be a 'babysitter' for your carry. Then if you want to have good last hit in early, take 1 skill Curse of Avernus, and do 'creep pulling'.

Mid Game

Items:
  • Boots of Travel
  • Pipe of Insight
The most suitable Boots for Abaddon support, mobility will be faster with the ability to teleport, hero support + durable is needed in every war. The pipe is very useful in the war and pushing. Activate Aphotic Shield and then Pipe to make it last longer.

Strategy: Now the right time for war. Each wants war, always remember, never alone, because it will not succeed. In addition, you might not survive anywhere if his own, despite of having a superb defense as aphotic and borrowed time, you do not have the skill to run away, and you are also not immune to stun/disable. The other reason why you should not alone is because you support hero in the team.

Always use the aphotic shield to a friend who opens the war, it will protect it from a counter-attack, then go forward attack the enemies to give the effect Curse of Avernus, do not forget to heal your friend using Mist coil.

Because you are melee and durable, so there is always at the forefront. you did not have to worry about your life, you HARD to kill anyway. Borrowed time will save your life, and you should always make sure they are 'protected' by either by your aphotic and keep their HP still green with your coil.

Late Game

Items:
  • Shivas Guard
  • Sange and Yasha
  • Radiance
Strategy: Okay, you should know the roles/responsibilities of this hero in the late game (only applies to Abaddon support)

DO NOT use aphotic for Abadddon, you should use for your friend, especially the initiators (opening war), you have borrowed better than aphotic, so the life of your carry is still more important than you. Use for yourself only if you already do not have a 'choice' again.

Use Shield to debuff your friend (remove opponents spell effects), Shield can remove most of the negative buff just as stun, slow, disable, etc. This skill also removes the slight effect of silence (if not you are exposed to silence), except Doom.

DO NOT use the shield 'Carelessly', It means do not use when it not needed, for example in the war, do not directly use it to your friend (before he became a target), because it will make the enemies attack other friends, consequently you can not help her with aphotic (because you've used).

So use it to your friends only 'after' him really being targeted by enemies. Or shortly after your friend (initiator) open war in the enemy area. Do not disappoint them, that's the responsibility of support. Think before the Act.

DO NOT be the first to 'Escape'! If your team lost to war/escape, let your friends first, while you're shield / heal them. Do not run away with a shield to your friends always make your team first Priority. Remember!

The Font of Avernus is the source of a family's strength, a crack in primal stones from which vapors of prophetic power have issued for generations. Each newborn of the cavernous House Avernus is bathed in the black mist, and by this baptism they are given an innate connection to the mystic energies of the land. They grow up believing themselves fierce protectors of their lineal traditions, the customs of the realm--but what they really are protecting is the Font itself. And the motives of the mist are unclear.

When the infant Abaddon was bathed in the Font, they say something went awry. In the child's eyes there flared a light of comprehension that startled all present and set the sacerdotes to whispering. He was raised with every expectation of following the path all scions of Avernus took--to train in war, that in times of need he might lead the family's army in defense of the ancestral lands. But Abaddon was always one apart. Where others trained with weapons, he bent himself to meditation in the presence of the mist. He drank deep from the vapors that welled from the Font, learning to blend his spirit with the potency that flowed from far beneath the House; he became a creature of the black mist.

There was bitterness within the House Avernus--elders and young alike accusing him of neglecting his responsibilities. But all such accusations stopped when Abaddon rode into battle, and they saw how the powers of the mist had given him mastery over life and death beyond those of any lord the House had ever known.
