AcadArena and UCCL Have Partnered Up to Organize Esports Tournaments

AcadArena Technologies Inc. and United Collegiate Championship League(UCCL) have partnered up to co-host collegiate esports tournaments.

Announced last Monday, April 5, AcadArena confirmed on a press release that they will be working with UCCL through a one-year pilot deal, making it as the "first foray" of UCCL on esports. AcadArena together with UCCL which have over 30 schools on its network including FAITH Colleges and Malayan Colleges Laguna, which has significant contributions with collegiate esports, will work together to enter the esports space.

"We’re incredibly excited to work with AcadArena to enter the esports space. Esports is something that can provide students with countless opportunities, and we are looking forward to being at the forefront of it alongside an industry leader", said Juan P. Lozano, president of the UCCL.

The Luzon legs of the League which has already begun this April with Call of Duty Mobile was co-organized by UCCL. The UCCL National Campus Open - Luzon is only one of the three regional conferences which has been organized by AcadArena for its National Campus Open Circuit. The circuit already had conferences for Metro Manila and Visayas-Mindanao. They are already running free-to-enter competitions for League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Call of Duty Mobile.

"UCCL is one of the most forward-facing athletic conferences in the Philippines, so we’re delighted to be collaborating with them. We know this is the start of something amazing, and we’re hoping this creates a domino effect of more universities and conferences entering esports", said AcadArena COO Justin Banusing.

The victor of each National Campus Open conference will then proceed to the Inter-Regional Championship to decide who will represent Philippines in various international competitions like International Esports Festival.

Scholarships will be given to eligible students who make playoffs in their respective conferences. This is part of AcadArena's pioneering of Esports Merit Scholarship program.
