All hero adjustments in the Mobile Legends Advanced Server Patch Notes 1.8.78

Guild of Guardians
The latest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang advanced server update, Patch Notes 1.8.78, has been a short one since this is in preparation of the official server update. In terms of hero adjustments, the game decided not to mess around too much at this point since there is no time to test stuff before the scheduled global update. Here are all the hero adjustments added by Patch Notes 1.8.78 Advanced Server along with some game developers/designers insights about why they decided to make such changes. The heroes that received changes in this particular update are Silvanna, Hayabusa, Masha, and Lolita.

1. Silvanna buff

Reduced the Mana Cost of some skills to match the purple Buff adjustment.

[Skill 1] (↑)
Mana Cost 95-145 >> 70-110

[Skill 2] (↑)
Mana Cost: 50-70 >> 35-60

Despite Silvanna not being a popular jungler option, the game still decided to adjust the mana cost of her non-ultimate skills. She works just fine even without the purple Buff but if she needs to be on par with the top junglers in the metagame, she needs these adjustments. This helps her to spam skills even while jungling without worrying that she’ll run out of mana during teamfights.

2. Hayabusa adjustments

Increased his Jungling speed, and reverted the Energy cost adjustment for his Skill 2.

[Skill 1] (↑)
Base Damage: 190-260 >> 200-260

[Skill 2] (↓)
Energy Cost: 0 >> 25

The patch notes explained that the increase in his skill 1 damage is for his jungling speed. Despite that though, the additional 10 base damage seems huge in the early game since it makes Hayabusa reach the 200 base damage threshold. The game also decided to revert the energy cost adjustment on his skill 2. Since skill 2 and skill 1 have a synergy in his full skill combo, his skill 2 consuming energy again may be able to control his high damage output ceiling caused by the increased damage of his skill 1.

3. Masha nerf

Slightly reduced her damage in the mid and late game.

[Skill 1] (↓)
Active Damage Bonus: 3% Extra Physical Attack >> 2% Extra Physical Attack

[Ultimate] (↓)
Base Damage: 400-600 >> 350-550

The game thinks Masha’s damage is too much, especially since pro players used her a lot to pick off the squishiest hero in the enemy team. The adjustments made seem to match the threshold that allows the opposing hero to react by some form of heal like lifesteal or escape alive. Both the damage from her skill 1 and ultimate skill is reduced, significantly more on her ultimate skill since it is an instant burst skill that could literally one-shot kill the squishiest hero even if it has a defense item.

4. Lolita nerf

Based on her actual performance, the game has slightly reduced the strength of her Passive shield.

[Passive] (↓)
Shield of Each Stack: 100 +20* Hero Level +80% of Total Magic Power >> 80 +16* Hero Level +60% of Total Magic Power

This is the last hero adjustment in this latest update. The fourth hero adjusted in this advanced server update is the hero Lolita. The shield she gets from her passive skill has been nerfed. The nerf includes reduction of the base shield per stack, the bonus based on her level, and from Magic Power stats. They noted that the adjustments are based on her actual performance so this nerf should not discourage players from using her. She is just balanced in order to level the playing field and not be a centralizing hero that players with high mechanics could abuse to always win games.

This latest update in the advanced server hints at a huge original server update coming up. The game has already announced about in-game control optimization in the upcoming update in their official YouTube channel but no exact date is mentioned. The game may also decide not to implement all the changes made in the test server to the official global server. Watch out for announcements in the official MLBB social media accounts and log in the game for the actual contents and visuals.
