Joining Aniplex in developing this game are Pokelabo and f4samurai. Aniplex will be handling the project planning as well as the releasing of the game on app stores while Pokelabo and f4samurai will work together for the development of the game. However, Pokelabo will take on a much more important role as they will be the ones that will handle the 3D graphics as well as managing the mobile game regularly after it is released.

Pokelabo is most known for working on Square Enix and Yoko Taro’s mobile game SINoALICE and the development of Assault Lily: Last Bullet, however, SINoALICE has already ended its service in mid-January of this year. Aside from the Magia Exedra, the company has another active mobile game that they will handle, which is the Assault Lily: Last Bullet W. Pokelabo is working with So-net to release the game globally on iOS and Android devices.

On the other hand, f4samurai also still busy handling Magia Record. Even though the earlier Madoka Magica mobile game is no longer available in English since 2020, the game is still going strong in Japan.

Currently, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra is only confirmed for mobile devices and that it will be released this year in Japan. No news has been released whether it will be launched globally as well and when it will be exactly released. Stay tuned for further announcements.
