Apex Legends Mobile: Closed Beta FAQ

As Apex Legends Mobile has started their closed beta test for the said game, a lot of the fans sent various questions regarding the closed beta. All questions asked were given an answer by the developers on the game’s official site. Below will be the summary of the answers:

  • A series of tests of Apex Legends Mobile will be rolling out steadily all over the world. It will start first in India and Philippines with a series of smaller tests. It will begin in spring of 2021 but will be only available for Android devices and as the test is continuous, the size of the test will be expanded, new regions will be added, and iOS support will be implemented. When they are ready to go broader, they will launch a page that allows players to pre-register for the game and sign up for news about the betas.
  • You can pre-register it on Google Play Store if the game becomes available in your region so that you’ll get notified automatically once the beta opens up in your area. The beta test has limited slots, meaning even if you pre-registered, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll get in immediately, however it’s certain that you will make it into the later release. Note that this test is invitation only with a server registration limit on a “first come, first serve” basis.
  • Apex Legends Mobile will be free-to-play just like the PC and console version of Apex Legends. Paid items that guarantee a gameplay advantage will never be included. The mobile game will feature its own Battle Passes, collectible cosmetics, and unlockables unique from those found in the PC and console version.
  • Apex Legends Mobile is currently still in its development and being optimized to run on various devices. The beta is specifically for phones running Android 6.0 and up. Note that the devices supported in the test don't represent the final launch.
  • The Apex Legends Mobile will not support cross-play with console and PC as its built specifically for mobile.
  • The World’s Edge map and some of the original Legends from the game will be playable. As its still in its development, these are the only available content made but additional details will be released as the game gets closer to its launch.
  • The regular Apex Legends team is also part of the development for this Apex Legends Mobile together with experts in mobile game development.
  • All the progress made by players in the beta test will be wiped out after the test is finished.
  • Currently, the game is only available on Google Play Store during the tests. Note that the game shouldn’t be sideloaded using a third party site or APK download.
  • There aren’t specifics yet for the live service plan, like if a seasonal content launched in mobile will also be in console at the same time.
  • Early access for the press will not be provided at this time.
  • There are future contents stored for Apex Legends PC and console later this year.

As of April 27th, the closed beta is already available in India. In May, the closed beta will come here in the Philippines. You can pre-register now so that if the closed beta is already in your region, you’ll be notified immediately.
