For fans of the show, Avatar: The Last Airbender, this one’s for you! A free-to-play open-world RPG titled Avatar: Generations will be launching soon, with its soft launch happening sometime this August. Instead of making your own character in the game, players will be allowed to relive the original characters and the original show.

Aside from Aang’s story, it appears to be that the game will also include the stories of the other Avatars namely Korra, Roku, and Kyoshi. As Avatar: Generations will be a squad-based adventure game, it will allow players to recruit characters to customize their party and since this is a free-to-play game, the recruitment function may be a gacha.

"With a globally beloved brand of this level, we’ve endeavored to create a game that expands the rich and storied universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender in a way that feels authentic and exciting to fans of the series and RPG games alike," said Navigator Games' CEO Will Moore.

"At the same time, we’ve ensured that the game remains accessible to anyone who doesn’t traditionally play RPGs. Our partners at Square Enix London Mobile have been hugely supportive in these efforts, and we’re working closely with our community during this soft launch period to make the best version of the game possible."

The regions that are included in the soft launch are Canada, Denmark, South Africa, and Sweden, which will be available for both iOS and Android devices. For other regions, the game will be available at a later date.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an anime-influenced television series that ran from 2005 to 2008. It follows the story of Aang, who is the eponymous last Airbender in a world where some people can manipulate one of the four elements. As the Avatar, he must help bring harmony to the world. In Aang’s case, that means defeating the Fire Lord.
