Bandai Namco announces Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS, is set to launch this year

Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS has been announced by publisher Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The game is set to debut this year, 2023.

Since its debut in the Weekly Shonen Jump, the anime series Naruto has followed the residents of the ninja world. Particularly prominent in the series have been Naruto Uzumaki and the other citizens of Konoha, a Hidden Leaf Village. A new version of the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series was revealed during PlayStation's State of Play and may very well be the biggest installment of the fighting game series to date that has looked at the lengthy history of Masashi Kishimoto's anime storyline.

The Naruto: Ultimate Ninja fighting game series debuted on the Playstation 2 in Japan in 2003, and once the Shonen franchise gained popularity, these games were released in the West a few years later. Each game would typically add more characters based on the heroes and antagonists who were first shown in the manga and anime adaptation, but this new title from Storm Connections, which will be released on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, boasts a whopping 124 playable characters.
