A second preview video of the new Bleach anime, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, has been released. Through the new PV, more of the show’s cast members have been revealed and the new theme song is featured. It was also revealed that the anime will be split into four cours, meaning the anime will air throughout the year with over 50 episodes. A few breaks will be in between cours.
During the advance screening event of the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc that was available to 1,000 people, the PV was released. Among the 1,000 people are the voice actors of Ichigo, Rukia, and Uryu. Featured in the PV are the new theme song “Scar” by Tatsuya Kitani and the ending theme song “Saihate” (最果て) sung by SannaRin.
Also, new cast members were revealed in the PV including Wataru Hatano as Hidetomo Kajōmaru, KENN as Berenice Gabrielli, Takahiro Fujiwara as Jerome Guizbatt, Wataru Komada as Asguiaro Ebern, and Daiki Hamano as Luders Friegen.

At the advance screening event that was held at The Grand Hall in Tokyo, the voice actors for Kurosaki Ichigo, Kuchiki Rukia, and Ishida Uryu were present. Masakazu Morita, Fumiko Orikasa, and Noriaki Sugiyama watched the first 2 episodes of the anime with 1,000 fans.
“As a fan, I was happy but at the same time I thought “Wait, I’m going to be playing this role? You want me to do this?” and I was nervous when I held the original work in my hands, because of all of the fan’s expectations,” Orikasa said during the event when they were asked about what they felt when they found out that the Bleach anime is returning.
Sugiyama shared that he was amazed by the technological, and creative improvements of the creators and that he felt that the last 10 years of waiting didn’t feel “wasted.” He also added that he wants to live up to fans’ expectations and record the series to the very end as this is the first time in 10 years that Bleach will be broadcasted again.
The event concluded with Morita saying that even though it has taken over 10 years, his dream of finishing the series as Kurosaki Ichigo is being fulfilled.
