Buriram United Is The King Of PUBG Continental Series 4: APAC!

After a long, arduous battle against 16 teams hailing from 5 regions, Buriram United ascends above all to take the top spot in Series 4 of the PUBG Continental Series: APAC!

The team took top honours showing a high level of consistency throughout the three weeks, placing 2nd, 1st, and 4th in the respective weeks. Australian team FURY nearly clinched the title but just missed out by a hair, placing 1st in Week 1 and 3rd in Weeks 2 and 3; netting a $2,000 deficit to the champion’s $42,000 total. The top 3 is rounded off with Vietnamese team, BN United, finishing the series with $29,000.

Individual honours went to Buriram United player Noardra, who bagged the ‘Most Kills’ award, while FURY took home the ‘Most Impressive Team’ award. The top performers of the series (All-PCS (All-Star)) comprised players from 3 different teams, including Noardra (Buriram United), AljnB0Tz (ArkAngel Predator), Ronon (FURY), and Ykikamucoww (FURY).

As a result of becoming the champion, Buriram United is automatically invited to compete in the PUBG Global Championship 2021 against 31 of the world’s finest teams that’s slated to take place in November, whereas teams from 2nd - 16th place will receive PGC points, giving them a fighting chance to qualify for the largest event in the calendar year

Teams need not be discouraged however, as there is still a glimmer of hope to regain footing to compete in the PUBG Global Championships. As per the current format, there are a total of 6 slots reserved for the APAC region following the breakdown below:
