Call of Duty: Mobile Coach Michael "Kyaaah" Belaya passed away

Coach Michael "Kyaaah" Belaya who led NRX Jeremiah 29:11 when they achieved a spot in the Call of Duty: Mobile World championship has sadly passed away last Sunday, April 18.

Coach Belaya died at the age of 23.

"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and clan master, Michael Belaya a.k.a Kyaaah today, April 18, 2021,” NRX Esports announced on their Facebook page.

His cause of death was not disclosed to the public.

Belaya was the one who led NRX Jeremiah 29:11 to win against Daivo FreeSlot of Thailand with a score of 3-2 in the finals of regional qualifiers for the world championship in October last year. However, the world championship was canceled due to the pandemic. It was then decided by the tournament organizer, Activision, to just divide equally the prize money amounting to $750,000 to the 7 qualified teams.

Belaya guided NRX Jeremiah 29:11 at the ESL MSP Major finishing as a runner-up and at the Garena Philippines Invitational in December last year. Earlier this month, Belaya and NRX Jeremiah 29:11 ended in 4th place in the Garena Invitational.

"He demonstrated great passion and never ending support for his team and the CODMmunity," Call of Duty: Mobile wrote on its official Facebook page.

Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends of the departed. -
