Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 Reawakening will be Lunar New Year-themed with new weapon and perk

Just like from previous years, Call of Duty: Mobile will be refreshing its rollout this 2023. The cycle begins again with Season 1 Reawakening. Jam-packed with various new content like maps and equipment to possible features, here’s what Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 Reawakening is all about.

Confirmed to be released on January 18, all content of Season 1 will be available immediately after the new patch comes into effect at 4PM PT on that day.

The official theme for the game’s first season is, once again, the Lunar New Year. As seen on the very first teaser trailer for Season 1, players are fighting in the festive version of Nuketown, which was known as Nuketown Temple last year. So it’s safe to say now that, again, we can experience that limited-time mode in the first season of 2023.

However, for the new content this season, Activision has yet to formally reveal anything for the Season 1 patch update. But thanks to the Test Server build, we already have a good idea of what’s to come this upcoming season.

Note that none are guaranteed to be part of Season 1 so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. Some that were seen and are in the most recent build are new weapons, perk, scorestreak, and some new tactical equipment. The new weapon was the Dingo LMG. First seen in Black Ops 3, it has a reputation of a powerful and futuristic weapon. It boasts a heavy amount of damage along with sharp aim but has poor mobility.

For the new Perk, it will be for Unit Support. In the latest build, it reads:

“Players will receive 20% of Operator Skill charging gained from every teammate’s kill; meanwhile, charging gained by self will be a 60% reduction. Players will receive 4% of Scorestreak charging gained from teammates; this bonus will be increased to 10% while capturing the hard point.”

It appears that Wheelson from Modern Warfare 2019 is also set to arrive in the game as it was seen in the latest test build. Add to that, there’s also Stim Shot, from Modern Warfare as well, which is a piece of equipment that when used, drastically increases health regen and movement speed for a limited time.

As we mentioned above, however, it’s worth taking all of these new additions with a grain of salt for now. While a handful may very well launch in Season 1, some may be held off for future updates. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted right here as further details emerge.

Be advised that some of this new in-game content may or may not arrive in the game so as we said before, take most of this information with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for further announcements!
