Since the teaser reveal of CoD: Mobile on twitter, we now know that season 2 will be introducing two new maps and two new weapons, all referenced from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Now, before the start of the new season, Activision has released the last community update and new details about the game, including a number of bug fixes, new battle royale contents, character voiceover addition, and a new battle pass.

It is almost an unwritten rule that a new season begins within 24 hours of the previous one being completed. With CoD: Mobile Season 1 nearing its end, updates for the second season should arrive on March 9 and is expected to begin on March 10 at 6pm CT. In the upcoming season, players' ranks will be reset along with ranked rewards arriving into the game. It will also mark the start of the ranked series nine.

Developers have revealed not only one, but two new maps for Day of Reckoning -- Shipment, which was first released in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last 2007, and Shoot House, another Modern Warfare classic located in a secret location within the deserts of Urzikstan. The devs have also revealed two new weapons to join the game -- the AS Val assault rifle, which will be available in the season 2 battle pass, and the SP-R208 rifle which will release later into the season in a seasonal challenge. Details about the Season 2 battle pass has been yet to release, but we can already expect more or less standard rewards. It goes without saying that it will include 50 tiers of free and premium content, together with new Operators, blueprints and other different cosmetics. The battle pass is expected to be at standard price as well:
  • Premium Battle Pass = 560 CP
  • Premium Battle Pass 12-Tier Bundle = 1280 CP
  • Premium Battle Pass 50-Tier Bundle = 1850 CP
It also seems that Activision is also bringing in new content for battle royale players. This includes the new Tank Battle mode, where players will have to assemble tanks through vending machines. The Spotter will be released into the game as the new battle royale class and the Cargo Truck will be the new vehicle to be added into the game mode. The company has also revealed that it will be adding the character voiceover of Modern Warfare's 'Ghost', who is voiced by Jeff Leach, into the game.

Developers have confirmed that they are actively working on a fix for different in-game bugs such as the eject bug in battle royale, out-of-bounds Glitches, Black Screen issues, Damascus camo problems, and other various battle royale bugs, and have shared progress on several of them.
