Classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Is Now on Android and iOS

Without even making a big announcement, Konami surprises everyone as they launch recently the arguably one of the most popular side-scroller action games during the PS1 era on both Android and iOS which is the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This is the second Castlevania game on mobile platform after the release of Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls last year.

Castlevania: Symphony of the night was previously released in 1997 for Playstation console. This is the sequel to the 9th Castlevania series called Castlevania: Rondo of the Blood and features the son of Dracula Alucard as the main character of the game. Perhaps one of the main reasons why Symphony of the Night becomes a classic game is due to its groundbreaking features during the year of its releases such as adding RPG element to its gameplay and a free to explore environment with tons of secret to unlock.

The launching of a new Castlevania game on a mobile platform is speculated to timed the landing of the anticipated new season of the anime adaptation of Castlevania on Netflix which was released last March 5.

Though the mobile version of the Symphony of the Night is based from the PS4 version and not from the original PS1 variant, fans will definitely enjoy the nostalgic feel of Symphony of the Night as it retains both its beautiful 2D graphics, engaging story and BGMs with additional features to maximize their mobile game experiences such as support for external controllers, unlockable achievements and the new continue feature.
