Com2uS, the developer behind the all-time popular game, Summoners War, developed 2 expansion games based on the same title - Summoners War: Chronicles & Summoners War: Lost Centuria. But, for now, we're focusing on the upcoming CBT of Summoners War: Lost Centuria. Before we answer your questions of when and how let's take a look at the game first.
Summoners War: Lost Centuria is one of the two expansions based on the original Summoners War title. It was announced back in 2019 and was introduced as a new mobile RTS. Although there's no clear evidence yet, there's a possibility that the game will have the same gacha feature just like the original. I did my best to find some clue as to how the game works. I searched for possible gameplay leaks from the Focus Group Test (FGT) last April in South Korea.
The plot of the game is set in the 100-year era of war which occurred long before the current timeline runs. Created from the new engine developed by Samsung Electronics and Unity Technologies, Summoners War: Lost Centuria offers better graphics and gameplay. Now, it's safe to assume that most of you who reached this point must be a long-time Summoners War fan or you're just simply interested in the game itself. So, let's discuss the questions already!
To answer the question of "when", the only confirmed word is "soon". But, the CBT is expected to begin by late November or within the month of December. Unlike the 2nd expansion (Chronicles), Summoners War: Lost Centuria will launch its CBT before the year 2020 ends. Well, that will all depend on whether there will be complications on the final development or not.
To answer the question of "how", now that's a mystery. I can't speak on behalf of every country, but as for me here in the Philippines, there's no sign of this game in Google Play Store yet. There's no CBT pre-registration or any official announcement of how you can participate at all. The only thing we need to do now is to wait. And, oh, there's no confirmation whether the CBT will be conducted on a certain region too.
For a final reminder to everyone, the CBT will be available to Android OS devices ONLY. This is another sad news for iOS fans for now, but I guess you'll get your own CBT period after some time too. For my usual final lines, I'm giving credits to Com2uS for the images and content I've used. I was a fan of the Summoners War and a current player of Soccer Spirits. We're all looking forward to the success of this new game. I've included the trailer here. So before this ends, enjoy it!
