DoZ is an online simulator of survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Here, those who lived through Conflagration were left to survive against hunger, aberrations, fanatical mutants and zombies, diseases and radiation. And, of course, other survivors.

Dawn of Zombies F.A.Q.

Q: Please add Spanish/Portuguese/German language in the game!
A: We're planning to add other languages in the game later, but it takes time. We definitely will tell you when D.O.Z. becomes available in new languages.

Q: What kind of game is Dawn of Zombies: Survival?
A: It's a mobile survival RPG set in the aberrated Last Territories following a nuclear apocalypse. The game is currently undergoing closed beta testing, It hasn't been optimised yet and does not have all the content we want to introduce. Most importantly — you may face bugs and glitches. Please report them.

Q: How does D.O.Z. differ from other survival games?
A: Founded on the classic mechanics of the genre — resource extraction, craft, base construction — this game is enhanced up with our own features. For example, there is a huge basement at the home location where you can organize a fallout shelter to hide from the Shining, the deadly emissions of the nuclear Plant. Inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and METRO, we have created a realistic gloomy world that has survived a nuclear apocalypse. This world is controlled by dozens of factions from the scientists of the Institute to the military Citadel Corps spetsnaz. The reputation system will enable you to gain the trust of their leaders by getting unique quests and rewards. We are especially proud of the game's plot and characters. Some are just trying to survive in a hostile world, others are seeking wealth, and some want to unravel the mystery of their origin. And let's be honest — in what other game can you ride through radioactive wastelands on a strider's combat bicycle while looking for artifacts?

Q: What are the system requirements of the game?
A: The game is available on Android devices with OS versions 4.4 and above and at least 1 GB of RAM. However, with this configuration,we recommend setting the graphics in game mode to a minimum (this can be done in settings). We recommend you use a device with a processor that is about equal in performance to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, with 2 GB of RAM and a graphics chip like Adreno 530 or higher. We are constantly working to optimize game perfomance, so these recommendations are not final. There are no restrictions on installing games on an iOS device. However, we cannot guarantee stable perfomance of applications on iPhone models below 5s.

Q: How can I play with friends?
A: We’re working on the multiplayer mode in D.O.Z. and are planning many new mechanics: clans, co-ops, fair PvP mode, fully functioning sieges of other players’ Shelters. But, for you to enjoy playing with friends, we need to work out these elements, therefore, there is no online mode for now.

Q: Will this game have multiplayer mode?
A: It will definitely be added. Multiplayer mode is temporarily unavailable until online in D.O.Z. has been further tested. We'll let you know as soon as the updated online mode returns to the game.

Q: Will the participants of the closed beta test be awarded?
A: After each wipe, beta testers will get special Apocalypse Patches (two for every 10 levels). We'll send out the Patches when the closed beta test is finished. After the closed beta test's finish the Apocalypse Patches can be exchanged for useful rewards.

Q: Where are the Apocalypse Patches? How can I see how many there are?
A: We’ll give the Apocalypse Patches to all beta testers after the closed beta test ends. Information about the exact amount of each player’s Patches is stored on our server.

Q: What is a "wipe" and why is it needed?
A: A wipe is a complete zeroing of the playing progress, which is necessary at the closed beta test stage: without wipes, it is impossible to add certain elements and mechanics to the game. This procedure is necessary, but unpleasant, so we take player progress into account during testing. Once the closed beta test has ended, there will be no wipes in the game.

Q: When is the next update?
A: All of our updates are stored in the aberrated zone. Expeditions go there regularly, but don’t always come back with swag. The last expedition is still wandering around in the zone, but has sent a message on our pda. “Update is close. It's closer than you think”.

Q: I have repeated quests from factions, what shall I do?
A: The game is undergoing closed beta testing, so for now the storyline ends on faction quests. The story will be continued, but until then set up your base, carry out special events and daily quests. Don’t forget about faction quests — you can achieve very good rewards for them.

Q: The game doesn’t work properly on PC emulator.
A: At the moment, mobile devices are priority platforms for us and we don’t guarantee workability оf the game on PC emulators. In the future, we plan to optimize D.O.Z. for emulators too, until then we recommend using the latest version of the Nox App Player emulator.

Q: Will clans or pets appear in the game?
A: Absolutely. The closed beta test is in progress and there is still so much more that we're planning to add in the game. Follow the news to learn about all the updates.

Q: I have an idea for your game.
A: You can outline your proposal for the development of the game in the messages. We read all player suggestions to make D.O.Z. even better.

Q: When will it be released?
A: The closed beta test will end when we're sure the game is ready for the next stage. We are constantly working on developing D.O.Z., but we don’t want to release an unfinished game.

Q: How do I save progress?
A: You can synchronize progress with Google Play and Game Center. During the first launch of the game, you will be automatically asked to enable synchronization, in the future you can do it in the game settings window.

Q: Does the game work without internet connection?
A: No, it doesn't. The game is designed for multiplayer, many elements in it are tied to online.

Q:How do I change a character name?
A:With just three simple steps.
