Dota 2: 7.23f Patch Notes | Game Update

Patch Note 7.23f game update, check out the latest nerfs and updates for Dota 2. Below are the details for the changes.
  • We’ve removed variability in the amount of MMR you gain or lose from a match. This means that there will no longer be matches that give results like +10/-40.
  • Instead of matches giving 25 MMR, solo games will now give 30 MMR and party games will now give 20 MMR. We have more confidence in the impact of a player on the game when they are solo compared to in a party, and thus we are willing to move a player’s MMR faster/slower depending on that.
  • We have removed the Fast/Slow queue and replaced it with Ranked Roles and Ranked Classic. To play in Ranked Roles you need to earn Role Queue games by playing matches while selecting all roles
  • this is unchanged from before. Ranked Classic has replaced the Slow Queue, and it does not let you select roles. We are making this change because the slow/fast queue concept has not been successful in producing good quality games. The end result was slow queue waiting a little bit longer, and then forcing very bad quality matches on the entire player pool. We think it’s a fair requirement to enforce that if you want to have the advantage of playing a specific role, you have to contribute to the matchmaking system by sometimes playing other roles, or just queue role-less as in previous years.

Gold bonus for the team that is behind is no longer considered if the difference is only 1k or less

Scorched Earth
  • Scorched Earth damage reduced from 20/35/50/65 to 15/30/45/60
  • Scorched Earth mana cost increased from 60/65/70/75 to 60/70/80/90
Drow Ranger
  • Multishot
  • Multishot mana cost from 50/60/70/80 to 50/70/90/110
  • Multishot arrow slow duration rescaled from 1/2/3/4 to 1.25/2/2.75/3.5
Lone Druid
  • Spirit Bear level 1 base damage reduced by 5
Outworld Devourer
  • Sanity’s Eclipse
  • Sanity’s Eclipse damage multiplier reduced from 0.5 to 0.4
  • Base damage reduced by 2
  • Fixed Phase Shift attacking Zombies
Waning Rift
  • Waning Rift no longer moves your hero if you are rooted on cast (but still casts the spell)
  • Level 10 Talent changed from Phase Shift Attacks to +30 Damage
  • Level 15 Talent changed from +90 Damage to Phase Shift Attacks
  • Base armor reduced by 1
Mortimer Kisses
  • Mortimer Kisses cooldown increased from 90 to 110
  • Base attack speed reduced from 100 to 90
  • Strength gain reduced from 4.1 to 3.8
  • Toss cast range reduced from 1300 to 1000/1100/1200/1300
Tree Grab
  • Tree Grab movement speed penalty increased from 25 to 30
Treant Protector
  • Strength gain reduced from 3.7 to 3.5
Leech Seed
  • Leech Seed slow reduced from 26/34/42/50% to 18/24/30/36%
  • Overgrowth mana cost increased from 150/175/200 to 200/250/300
  • Earthshock no longer moves your hero if you are rooted on the cast (but still casts the spell)
Vengeful Spirit
  • Magic Missile
  • Magic Missile cooldown increased from 9 to 12/11/10/9
Nether Swap
  • Nether Swap cast point increased from 0.3 to 0.4
  • Poison Attack
  • Poison Attack mana cost increased from 20 to 25
