Weekly Gaming Update by Pinoy Gamer! Lets talk about WESG SEA 2019 Champions TNC Predator, Dota 2 Fast Queue, Diablo Immortal, China video game curfew, COD Mobile new Anti-cheat and Sibol Esports wins tests events on SEA Games

TNC Predator: WESG SEA 2019 Champions

  • After TNC Predator's win in the Electronic Sports League (ESL) One 2019 in Hamburg, Germany, making them the first Southeast Asian winners of the said tournament,
  • now they have taken the title as our two-time World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) SEA champions by taking down the Vietnamese Dota 2 team, 496!
  • However, their game against 496 was not easy. Even if 496 banned their strongest heroes,
  • TNC were still confident that they will win Game 1, they were wrong as 496 won the first game.
  • Vietnamese team were so confident that they can take over TNC's power in Game 2,
  • but, since TNC used Armel's Templar Assassin and the rest of the team used their best heroes,
  • 496 never expected that they will be defeated within twenty-three minutes.
  • In game 3, both teams picked their most comfortable heroes for the final game of this tournament.
  • They had a lot of AoE which means to say that every team fight could potentially change the game flow. Game 3 was a hard game to watch,
  • because of 496 taking over the game, however everything fell apart with just one mistake from the team.
  • TNC took advantage of that mistake and they did everything they can with the clash in Roshan's pit.
  • What do you think of their win here?
  • Also, let us support them again in their upcoming tournament in China, the MDL Chengdu Major.
  • So, stay tuned for more updates!

Dota 2: Fast Queue

  • Let us say farewell to the long queue and prepare for the newest matchmaking: 'Fast Queue'
  • Since many users are giving their bad experiences with slow queueing times due to more strict requirements for Ranked Roles, Valve has now developed a new system, 'Fast Queue'
  • Before this restriction happened, waiting for pubs was way faster considering most of the people are drawn to it. But according to Valve, this resulted in some of the players who are desiring the same role which we all have been experiencing right now.
  • With the Ranked Roles, they [Valve] hoped that this will resolve the chaos of designating of positions but came with longer queue times.
  • The matchmaker must wait for players in the desired roles to enter the queue or form sub-optimal matches with the players currently in the queue to satisfy all role requirements.
  • Usually, the role most in demand by the matchmaker is Hard Support, but this is not always the case, and historically this has varied based on time of day, skill bracket, region, etc.”
  • So now, Valve officially announced this update on their website saying those who are part of the ‘Fast Queue’ pool will find their matches quickly.
  • “To address role imbalance more generally, today’s update introduces Fast Queue for Ranked matchmaking. In order to earn games for Fast Queue, you must elect to play with all the roles selected.
  • Playing with all roles selected will also automatically place you in Fast Queue for free.”
  • "Going forward, our immediate focus will be validating that Fast Queue is doing enough to improve the health of the matchmaking pool, and tweaking as necessary.
  • We'll also be rolling out a small incremental update to the behavior and report system in the coming weeks."
  • "We appreciate your patience thus far as we iterate on matchmaking."
  • Valve also mentioned that players should always send them feedback.
  • Have you now experienced efficient queueing? What’s your opinion about this?

Diablo Immortal

  • Blizzard announced Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 in BlizzCon 2019, and actually, they are really quiet about Diablo Immortal.
  • But despite that, we are still all ears for it! That's how excited we are for this game!
  • Last Friday, Blizzard took it to their official website to make the update reveal including a trailer, game story, classed and its gameplay.
  • Diablo Immortal is a mobile MMO ARPG of the PC platform game, Diablo. And according to Blizzard, Diablo Immortal was made to embrace the online multiplayer aspect.
  • “While we still want players to be able to enjoy the game solo, Diablo Immortal will thrive with multiplayer features including persistent shared zones, 4-player instanced dungeons, full Guild support and social systems, and so much more.”
  • Players can now create their own Diablo Immortal hero among six classes: Wizard, Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Crusader, and the Necromancer.
  • There is also a game mechanic called the Ultimate Abilities, wherein it enables these six classes to own an Ultimate Ability.
  • They gain charges for their chosen Ultimate by just using their basic attacks!
  • They can also upgrade their power with the game’s Legendary items like transforming a burning fireball into a Frozen Orb or turning arrows into grenades.
  • And the biggest thing Blizzard wants fans to know is that even though Diablo Immortal will be an MMO ARPG on mobile,
  • it will still include multitudes of monsters to slay, piles of loot to collect and customize, and powerful classes to play with friends or just on your own!”
  • As for when will this be released, Blizzard has made no official statement yet, but, for now,
  • let us just wait and hope that this will not be a failure just like last year after its release! We are counting on Blizzard!
  • What do you think of this new update of Diablo Immortal? Will you be trying it out when it’s released? Are you excited? We do!
