During the TI10 broadcast, a special trailer for DOTA: Dragon's Blood season 2 was presented. Marci, Luna, Mirana, and Davion, the Dragon Knight, all returned in Season 2 of the Studio Mir animated series set in one of the Dota 2 universe's kingdoms. The teaser for the dark fantasy series included action-packed vignettes that promise outstanding and riveting combat, as well as a new character in Dota 2 hero Lina, the Slayer, that the South Korean animation company has become known for.

An action-packed scene by Studio Mir was presented at the conclusion of the DOTA: Dragon's Blood season 2 teaser, which transitioned into a completely CG animated sequence revealing the in-game model of the newest hero to be added to Dota 2, Marci.

Marci is Princess of the Moon Mirana's devoted servant and bodyguard. She is deafeningly talented in battle, and owing to her knowledge of hand-to-hand fighting, she can manage herself in nearly any circumstance. She was also a popular character on the show, and this news suggests that more Dota 2 media integration will be coming to the game in the future.

Marci's presence in Dota 2 will will certain please both Dota 2 and Dota cartoon series fans. Dawnbreaker, who was introduced in April of this year, was the most recent hero to be added to Dota 2. Marci's inclusion as a new Dota 2 hero is a bit unusual, considering hero releases generally occur once a year.

The revelation trailer didn't disclose much about Marci's role in the game, as is typical of these TI hero announcements. All we know is that she will be added to the game later this autumn as the 121st hero.

We may presume she'll be a Melee hero of either Strength or Agility, with a focus on her physical abilities from Dragon's Blood. Because she is silent, it's unknown how developers will incorporate different components for her character, such as voicelines (or some new equivalent).

Valve also revealed that the second season of Dota: Dragon's Blood will premiere on Netflix in January 2022, in addition to Marci's announcement. The show's first season premiered in March.

Dota 2 fans who haven’t checked out the first season of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood can binge on the series on Netflix while waiting for season 2 to arrive.
