Dragon Balls fans are in for a huge surprise as Bandai Namco announces the return of Budokai Tenkaichi franchise

Bandai Namco announces to the entire Dragon Ball community that a new Budokai Tenkaichi game is in development.

Budokai Tenkaichi is one of the original 3D arena fighters that Bandai Namco is so well-known for. The first installment was back in 2005, where players were given control to a massive roster of characters. The game allows the players to fly around, dash, and fire off signature attacks in a 3D space just like in the anime.

With the first title being massively successful, it’s not surprising that the well-known publisher has released sequels of the game that offered more characters and customization options, making it the ultimate Dragon Ball sandbox.

And now, with Bandai Namco teasing the next entry after more than a decade, many fans of the game celebrated the announcement.

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was the last console release for the franchise, which was released in late 2008,

The last Budokai Tenkaichi title was released back in 2008 and it was titled Budokai Tenkaichi 3. It was a console release but after that, the following titles that followed Budokai Tenkaichi 3 didn’t really meet the expectations of the fans so the series has been dormant since.

Stay tuned for more announcements in the future as the development of the new Budokai Tenkaichi unfolds!
