ECHO Philippines is the M4 World Champions after a Grand Finals sweep - Philippines will host M5

Two teams from the Philippines faced each other in the Grand Finals of the biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament, the M4 World Championship. ECHO Philippines faced the previous world Champion, Blacklist International, in a best-of-7 Grand Final series. ECHO won the series in a 4-0 sweep, defeating the M3 World Champions.


ECHO's journey in this M4 World Championship has been a tough one. In the Group Stage, they were in Group C along with the MPL Singapore Champion, RSG Singapore, the MPL Indonesia runner-up, RRQ, and the Occupy Thrones. They thrived to secure an upper bracket slot for the Knockout Stage.

In the Knockout Stage, they faced Team HAQ in a very tight series. ECHO won 3-2 in round 1 and moved onto round 2 to face the MPL Indonesia (MPL-ID) champion, ONIC Indonesia. ECHO won that best-of-5 series against MPL-ID champs to move on to the upper bracket finals. This is where they faced Blacklist International for the first time in this tournament. Blacklist International prevailed as ECHO lost 2-3 against the defending champs.

ECHO went down to the lower bracket and faced RRQ for the slot in the Grand Finals. ECHO won 3-1 which gave them the chance to meet Blacklist International again in this tournament. This is the Grand Finals series which is a best-of-7 and ECHO finally triumph over Blacklist International after a 4-0 sweep.


ECHO Philippines is the M4 World Champions and their player roster is composed of their main five: Karltzy, Bennyqt, Sanford, Sanji, and Yawi, along with reserve players: Jaypee, who managed to play in the group stage, and KurtTzy. Karltzy is now a two-time World Champion. The M4 Finals MVP is Bennyqt, their gold laner. It was also already officially announced during this Grand Finals that the next ML:BB world championship, M5, will be held in the Philippines as the host country.
