Lord El-Melloi II Case Files is a Japanese light novel series written by Makoto Sanda and illustrated by Mineji Sakamoto. An official part of the Fate series, it began serialization by Type-Moon under the Type-Moon Books imprint on December 30, 2014 to May 17, 2019. The novels are set between the events of Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, focusing on Lord El-Melloi II, a former master who now investigates several mysteries after his participation in the Fourth Holy Grail War.

This upcoming event based on the series will involve Melloi II, himself, and will appear on the event as Servant Zhuge Liang. Full details of the event is still not revealed on the official website but if we will based it on its 2019 run in Japan, players will be rewarded with a new free Servant based on Waver’s assistant, Gray. Servants based on characters Reines and Luvia will also be added by premium summoning.

The pre-release campaign is a weeklong login promotion wherein players will be rewarded by logging in each day while the campaign is ongoing. The reward is AP-restoring Golden Fruit items. However, other conveniences will also be added to help players prepare. Servants that are related in the event like Zhuge LIang, James Moriarty, Iskandar, and Charles Babbage will have increased success rates if fed with EXP cards to level up. They’ll also earn double the amount of Friend Points if they are used as a Support.

All the available EXP and character upgrade material-gathering missions will be unlocked during the pre-release campaign. Players that have Quartz can dabble their hands on premium summoning, promising an increased rate for Zhuge Liang and Alexander. Note that these Servants aren’t limited.

This is it for this crossover event, Lord El-Melloi II Case Files. See you again on the next event of Fate/Grand Order.
