Fate/Stay night Réalta Nua, which was first published in 2007 for the PS2 as a remaster of the original game targeted at players aged 15 and up, served as the foundation for Fate/Stay night Remastered. This version of the game features voice acting, with the anime voice actors reprising their roles, in addition to the new language options. In addition, Type Moon created a new official X account (formerly Twitter) for the title, on which it will provide updates in both English and Japanese.

The first Fate/stay Night visual novel was only available in Japan when it was published for the PC in January 2004. The first anime adaptation of the game brought it to a peak in popularity in 2006, and the franchise continued to gain traction with the 2007 PS2 remaster and the 2012 PS Vita transfer. 2015 also saw the release of the iOS and Android ports. The action RPG Fate/Samurai Remnant, which was released in 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, is the most recent game in the rapidly expanding franchise.
