Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis confirmed to bring every FFVII game into mobile

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis has been officially announced by Square Enix, which will compile entire FFVII timeline into one mobile game title.


Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will be a chapter-based, single-player, episodic mobile adventure game that will retell the entire Final Fantasy VII saga, including Before Crisis, Advent Children, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. According to a press release, the compilation will be featuring every event from each game and will be adding new story elements which will be focusing on the "Origins of Soldier".

Its director, Tetsuya Nomura, stated in an interview with Weekly Famitsu that the game will be released in installments every month. Additionally, it will have a material combat system, much like the original game.

He also said “it goes without saying that you will get to see the early days of a certain legendary hero when he was younger.”, hinting fans and players that they will meet a younger Sephiroth.

In the overworld, the game will present a cutesy chibi versions of the Final Fantasy VII casts. But in combat, the characters will look straight out of FFVII Remake only with more stunning visuals.

Players will be able to use magical abilities, guns and swords to kill enemies from a third and first-person perspective. Check out the teaser trailer below.

Although Ever Crisis does not have a clear release date yet, it is expected to drop sometime in 2022. It will be available for both Android and iOS. Also, Square Enix has announced a battle royale game, aiming to be released in 2021. So better keep an eye out!
