Kicking off on July 6 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the event that will be hosted by Gamers8 will span over eight weeks. Aside from the esports tournaments, music concerts, festival activities, and the Next World Forum conference will be held alongside it.
The prize pool for the upcoming tournament is said to be the largest in esports history, according to the event’s organizers. The $45 million prize pool or PHP 248,5012,500 is triple the amount that was featured in the 2022 edition.
The esports titles that will be part of the Gamers8 festival have yet to be revealed. But during last year’s event, some of the best teams and players in Rocket League, Dota 2, Fortnite, Rainbow Six and PUBG Mobile have been featured.
Gamers8 festival is sponsored by the nation’s main esports association, Saudi Esports Federation (SEF). Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, chairman of the federation, said in his previous January statement that their goal was to achieve more than what they have accomplished with the 2022 event.
