Genshin Impact have thrown travelers small snippets of the land of Sumeru since the game’s launch. From Lisa’s lore to the anticipated character Cyno. With this new nation comes a whole new lore, element, culture, characters and experiences from the game.
Among the playable characters in the game, Lisa is the only Genshin Impact character with direct ties to Sumeru. The Knights of Favonius' Librarian studied in the Sumeru Academia before returning to Mondstadt prior to the events of the game. There are currently no playable Sumeru characters in Genshin Impact, and Lisa has given the most clues as to what players may expect from the new region's culture.
Sumeru's terrain consists of both deserts and woods. Dainsleif compared it to a desert in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, while Liben says "Sumeru is all rainforest and desert."
Lisa enrolled in the Sumeru Academia to study magic, where she was regarded as the best student in 200 years. Despite her status, she eventually returned to Mondstadt after becoming disillusioned with the "raving-mad scholars" and the price of "uninhibited erudition" she witnessed.
Cyno has been teased since the launch of the game in 2020. Besides appearing in the in-game trailer, he has also appeared in the Genshin Impact official comics. Although, there is little information about him he seems to be wielding a polearm. His vision also appears to be red, implicating that he could be a pyro user.
We last saw Scaramouche in Inazuma, laughing hysterically as he takes the Raiden Shogun's gnosis. There has been a leak going around that he will become playable between the patch 3.0 and 4.0. Being the Shogun's failed puppet, he is expected to wield a catalyst with the electro element.
The only available elemental reaction for the Dendro element is burning. Which is the effect of pyro(fire) coming in contact with the Dendro environment. Players are expecting for a wider range of elemental reactions in the future. Anticipating game changing reactions that might affect the current meta.

One of the most anticipated update for the patch 3.0 is the new element. So far, there hasn’t been a single playable Dendro character. The closest would be Baizhu of the Bubu Pharmacy. Even though he has been introduced since Zhongli’s archon quest, he is still yet to be playable.The only available elemental reaction for the Dendro element is burning.
