Genshin Impact has made a lot of people spend their money on their favorite waifu and husbandos. With the money that it has acquired, we are assured that there is content for a long time. But you got to wonder, what's next for our banners in the gacha?
Well, fret no more. There are 2 characters that you might want to save your primogems for so strap your stash and get saving for these two new characters coming in Patch 1.1
Patch 1.1 contains new characters that have been introduced in the game which you might have grown an attachment while you are playing in the story. Specifically, the Liyue chapter of the Main Storyline. Now, guess who the two new heroes are? That's right! We are talking about Zhongli and Childe. Now, let's talk about them one by one.
Zhongli
Zhongli is the guy you meet in the story where Childe introduces you to. He is a worker in the Wangsheng General Parlor and one of your companions (albeit not playable) in Act II of Chapter 1. Memed about the community as the one with no money or "Mora" in-game he does hold a great philosophy about life, culture, and money. Sophisticated and classy, he is definitely an eye-catcher for the girls who play the game out there.
Zhongli is a geo character which has been spoiled by beta testers of 1.1. His elemental burst summons a meteor and he has a special way of mining through his skill. It is interesting what would he bring in the table overall, but with a dapper look and a strong potential (since he is being suspected by the lore readers and theory crafters as the actual Geo Archon), you can bet that he is going to gain a lot of pullers in his banner.
Childe
Ah yes, the character that saved our butts a lot of times in the Liyue chapter, but does he have his vested interests while doing so, or is he just a good ol' guy looking for us out despite being a Fatui. If you have played the chapter, you already know what's coming in next. However, this dude is just a bro with all the antics in the game. You cannot not root for him in certain conditions.
Childe is a hydro character that is one of the Eleven Harbingers in the Fatui. When a leak revealed how he can move from melee to ranged attacks while just equipping a bow in the inventory, it makes you wonder if the character of the unit is not enough to roll for him.
Having a versatile character is a great thing in the game. Imagine needing to face a flying enemy when you only have melee units. That should be troublesome, well I guess having Childe will not make it a worry.
Banners and their release?
While it has been rumored and speculated that these two will be the ones that will be featured in the gacha banners in the coming future. We still do not have full confirmation about their release dates and the other characters that will be featured in their banners.
It is becoming more and more apparent of the game's imminent release of these characters. Only time will tell what will happen next but I for sure am excited to see my newest units to play in the game. Might whale for Childe with the money I earn when his banner releases. HAHAHA.
Update October 30 2020 - Mihoyo has confirmed Zhongli, Childe, Xinyan and Diona as additional characters with additional updates.
