Guild of Guardians
Recently, Google has announced that users of Google Photos will finally be able to use the AI-powered tools of the app for free. Without any subscription needed, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait light are now available to be used.

The rollout of this announcement will happen on May 15, however, expect that it will take a few more weeks to take effect since that's the way Google likes to do things. Additionally, Google also revealed that the features previously mentioned can be used for free as well on "more devices, including Pixel tablets".

For the uninitiated, Google launched Magic Editor on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro last year. Through this feature, a generative AI is used to make complex edits with simple actions. For example, repositioning a subject or using a different color for the sky. Now, with the announcement made by Google, this feature will be used infinitely in any Pixel devices.

Note, all Android and iOS users who have Google Photos on their devices and use it will have 10 Magic Editor saves per month. If it exceeds the aforementioned number, users will need to have either a Pixel device or a Premium Google One plan that includes 2TB of storage or more.
