Consoles and PC will be the first platforms to receive the game. Sony's PlayStation 5, Microsoft's Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo's Switch are among the systems that are supported. The Rockstar Launcher will be used to access the game on PC. Other than "later this year," no specific date was specified.
The trilogy will also be available on iOS and Android, which is a unique feature. Rockstar didn't go into too much detail about it, other than to state that it will be released in the first half of 2022.
The Definitive Edition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will be a complete remastering of all three games, including "graphic upgrades and current gameplay additions for all three titles, while retaining the classic look and feel of the originals." Rockstar has stated that additional information on these remasters will be released shortly, and with a release date of 2021, we won't have to wait long. Physical copies for the PS4 are expected to be released on December 7th, according to VGC, however it appears that PS5 users will have to wait until next year for a boxed edition.
