Guide on How to Start a New Game in Dragon's Dogma 2

There have been some complaints about the difficulties of starting a new game in Dragon’s Dogma 2 when the save date already exists. Unfortunately, the title does not include this feature.

Players who wish to start a new game will have to delete their entire progress in the game, as it is currently the only alternative way to start over with the game.

The first thing to do is turn off the cloud syncing in Steam, find where your saved files are hidden, and delete them all. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
  • Open your Steam library and find Dragon's Dogma 2. Click on it and select ‘Properties’.
  • Deselect the ‘keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Dragon’s Dogma 2’ option to disable the cloud saves.
Now, here’s how you're going to delete your save file:
  • If you have installed the game in the default location, open the folder with a name like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\33217548\2054970.
  • Delete the entire file in that folder. Most of these files will have either “remote” or “remotecache" as their names.
  • Launch Dragon’s Dogma 2 and start a new game.
Once you have started a new game, return to the Properties menu and re-enable Steam Cloud Saves to save your future progress in the game.

This process will just be an alternative way to start a new game, and it can be used as many times as you wish until Dragon’s Dogma 2’s developer makes an update about it to make the process easier.
