Disclaimer: I am just an average-skilled player of Guinevere so if I have said something wrong or if there's an important tip or info that I forgot to mention, please tell us in the comment section.
If Chou is the current King of Fighters, Guinevere is the Queen. Though Chou and Guinevere are not official couples since Chou is paired with Lolita because of their Chinese Lunar Year Themed Skins.

Guinevere Guide: How to play the Queen of Fighters By:AdminGanda
Now let me introduce Guinevere by telling you her strengths and weaknesses.
Strengths:
-High Mobility
-Great in any lane
-Farms Fast
-CC immunity (from ult)
-Has a Knock up ability
-Insane snowball potential
-Great at spamming true damage from Calamity Reaper
-Decent early Sustain due to her passive
-Great at chasing enemies
-Ability to use her clone as bait for CC or attacks
-Good late game scaling. Not as good as an MM, but great for a Mage and fighter
- High Carrying Capability
CONS:
-Requires precision. You need to know how to aim to use her
-Needs practice in timing her skills for maximum damage
-No damage reduction in her skills so relatively squishy if she can’t get away or if her S2 is on cooldown
-very reliant on her skills
-Long cooldowns if you don’t spam S1
- player is required to practice using her because of her difficulty and to make up for experience and skills
~~~Skills Analysis
PASSIVE: After the red bar gets full above her head, she will release an extra damage from basic attack that chases an enemy from quite a big distance. You also regen 10% of her LOST HP.
This gives her a lot, early game sustain and added mobility so that you don’t have to waste your mobility skills.
She also does extra 25% damage to knocked up enemies, and with her skill set thats going to be happening a lot.
SKILL 1: Her poking tool. Has a low CD of 4, and a hit reduces all her skills CD by 1. You want to be spamming this as much as possible. It’s the main reason why she’s able to be so mobile and keep on being able to jump into the fight. The slow is also really nice and easily spammable, so you can chase people down fairly easily instead of resorting to your S2.
While most people say you are useless without your S2, that isn’t the case. Spam it and punch them with true damage from your Calamity Reaper. Your passive chase helps you do this as well. She won't be META if she is useless without her 2nd skill.
SKILL 2: Now this is the big thing that makes the passive work. First time you use it, you do a thump that knocks up enemies. As long as the enemy is in the inner circle, they’ll be hit.
Here are some tips:
-The overall CD is long as hell, so whenever it’s on CD spam your Skill 1 literally as much as possible. If you stretch the 2nd part of the skill you could have it immediately up again.
The 2nd part of this skill is an extra dash that leaves a clone. It’ll take damage as normal and as such, enemies can use their skills on it.
Now this skill will be a large part in most of what you do, and as such you gotta time it where it’s effective. Use it on situations where you need to do damage, but also to be unbelievably mobile. Determine yourself what’s best. Compare it to Gusion’s Ult in a way, you either wanna use both parts to chase enemies or use one to go in and the other to get out.
In short, this is her engaging and disengaging skill.
ULTIMATE: Large AoE and if the enemies are already knocked up, they get knocked up an additional 6 times. This is gonna be your large source of burst damage and also for keeping enemies in place for your team to wipe them out. The scaling on it is unbelievable, so it will hurt all stages of the game.
Also take note that YOU ARE IMMUNE TO CC when using this skill.
Through the entire time you are spinning in the air, CC effects won’t work against you. Whoever is trapped WILL be trapped and no one can do anything about it unless they have Purify.
Due to this property, you could also use the Ult as a way to bait CC’s so that you can use your skill 2 to run away. Yeah, the CD is long but as I said earlier, your skill 1 is gonna make it seem that your skills do not have Cooldowns.
SKILL COMBO:
When you successfully knocked up an enemy and you have a Calamity Reaper:
Skill 2-Basic-Ult-Basic-Skill 1-Basic-Skill 2
a) Remove Basic Attacks in between if you don't have Calamity Reaper. Unless you have a good phone and a fast hand player.
b) Do not follow up with Ult when it didn't hit. But in teamfights, use it to deal damage and be immune CC. Don't waste your ult in pickoffs.
c) The Spatial Migration (second tap of skill 2) can be used to chase or disengage. Follow up the combo with another basic attack and skill 1 when you use Spatial Migration to chase.
d) Then spam skill 1 until everything refreshes again and repeat. Skill 1 and spamming basic to chase a single enemy also isn’t bad
~~~Preparation
SPELL
Recommended Spells are Retribution, Purify, Execute and Aegis.
Retribution gives you the added ability of being able to jungle fast. But somehow REQUIRES you to be in midlane in order to be effective.
Purify gives you some added protection. Use this if the enemy team has 3 or more CC heroes.
Execute let’s you makes sure an enemy gets taken out. Depending on how frequently you see enemies leave with barely any health, you might want this.
Aegis is also a good option so that you can absorb more damage when you are in the middle of the teamfight.
Emblem
Best emblem is the Mage Emblem with Mystery Shop Talent.
Why not the other talents?
She can't fully utilized Impure Rage because she doesn't consume mana.
Magic Worship is also hard to trigger since her skills are not multiple projectiles like Cyclops' second skill and Gusion's Daggers.
Recommended Items:
Calamity Reaper: Guinevere has a lot of skills, and her S1 is extremely spammable. With this, you will be doing a ton of true damage. With the combo noted above, you could do 2000+ True damage in a single combo. This gives your S1 extra damage in case you want to chase an enemy without your S2 up.
Concentrated Energy: Guinevere is one of the only few mages that can utilize magical lifesteal because her basic attack is magical damage.
Arcane Boots: Best boots for her because of her magical damage coming from both skill and basic attacks. Rapid Boots can also be used by her but you are already mobile enough so you do not need much more mobility and the slow effect coming from Rapid Boots.
Holy Crystal: The passive for this item is really good on Guinevere. Due to her main combo being Skill 2 then using ult right after, her Magic power will go up 15% for the Ult And THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE.
Winter Trucheon: The added HP and immunity just gives you some added protection while still giving you some magic power. You could also skill 2 immediately after you use it so it’s not a bad item to have. If Gusion can use this, why not Guinevere too.
Divine Glaive: Penetration to make sure your skills will do more damage even if the enemies build magic defense items.
Immortality: A good substitute to Winter Truncheon. This is actually a better defense item especially in super late game.
Lightning Truncheon: This is not a core item to her since she doesn't consume mana remember? Though this item is still best with paired with Clock of Destiny. This is also very useful because of 75 magic power added and 10% CDR.
Clock of Destiny: Use this when you want to us the Lightning Truncheon plus Clock of Destiny Combo.
1st set build: Calamity Reaper Based
Arcane Boots
Calamity Reaper
Concentrated Energy
Holy Crystal
Divine Glaive
Immortality/Winter Truncheon
2nd set: Lollipop Build

Clock of Destiny
Lightning Truncheon
Concentrated Energy
Holy Crystal
Immortality/Divine Glaive
3rd set: Full Burst Combo
Arcane Boots
Lightning Truncheon
Calamity Reaper
Clock of Destiny

Divine Glaive
~~~Gameplay
BEFORE YOU START LANING: Literally any lane works for Guinevere. She is honestly a good midlaner just like Harley and Gusion. She can also solo mid or solo a sidelane.
But if you have a good midlaner in your team, giving them is probably the best.
But if you’re the only good midlaner on your team, go for it.
She’s also good bot and top, proving any support for MM’s that need protection through CC’s or securing enemy kills.
Also, because she has enough damage potential herself, she can lane with a support or tank that will assist Guinevere in getting some kills.
So yeah any lane is good for her.
LANING: Your strongest stages are gonna be your early and mid game, but her late game is also nothing to ignore. At the start of the game, keep poking with your skill 1 and try to get level 2 so you can get your roaming skill. After that, continue poking at enemies and do what you can to push them back. You have much better sustain than most heroes so they’ll be the ones to back off first. Guin plays similarly to Chou, so you’re going to want to roam as soon as you can. She jungles pretty fast as well so this makes it much easier. Try to help your team by knocking up enemies and securing kills and assists. When played right, Guinevere can snowball pretty hard and completely control the early and mid game. Due to your super mobility, you can also push towers and get out quickly. Her basic attacks do pack a bit of a punch.
TEAMFIGHTS: Guinevere is very good at being the initiator. With her knock ups and immunity to CC during Ult, she can hit up enemies and allow your team to jump in.
However, she’s also relatively squishy so if there’s a couple of enemies not stuck in your Ult, you might get bursted. So there will be times you want the tank to go in first before you start anything. You can also combo your knock ups off of your tanks knock ups as well, so waiting till they go in can be good. Overall, you need to determine the best time to jump into the teamfight.
~~~Pro Tips and Tricks
1. Spam Skill 1. Also, always keep in mind that it can inflict a slow effect on enemies.
2. Do note that your second skill has a very small but still there delay in effect, and as such can be cancelled by silence or any interruption skill that completely nullifies it. This is also the reason why anyone with a quick enough dash can get away from it before it goes off.
3. If the enemy is on the very edge of your second skill, they’ll still take some damage but most likely won’t get knocked up. That is why accuracy is important.
4. A Spatial Migration Trick:
If you do it quick enough, enemies like Kaja will use their Ult on the clone before it hits you. You can also use it to block Harley’s ring of fire.
5. The Last Trick that I will give you is how you can counter an ambush. Example: A Lord Steal
If the Lord Lane is in Top, there is one small bush in the right side where opponents usually hide, surprise them by using your second skill on them.
Instead of being ambushed, you ambushed and surprised the enemies.
You may hide in the bush in front of the lord for a much more unexpected attack.
