I'm John. My common gaming aliases are:
- papoteer (I also use "papo" as a short-hand form)

- sasans (usually for alternates)
I generally enjoy adventure/platforming games such as Crash Bandicoot, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario.
Recently, I've been putting some time into shmups/bullet hell games as well.
I play FPS but not a lot (I generally dislike CounterStrike but play Overwatch and Left 4 Dead).
I really like fighting games but rarely in a competitive mood (due to social issues). I do wish I could connect with more players but there's the issue with my social ability plus right now due to work, time.
I'm also into VNs (and I know there are some people who don't consider them to be games but I'll mention it anyway) such as TypeMoon's Fate and Tsukihime as well as the weird ones like Umineko and Saya no Uta.
I'm a sucker for fascinating stories (and had been writing for hobby before) but when it comes to games, I believe that gameplay should come first before narrative quality.
I've been investing a lot of time with these games recently:
1. Overwatch
2. Dynasty Warriors 8 (I'm late to the party, 9 is coming up)
3. Monster Hunter Generations (my introduction to the series)
My platforms are mostly on portables (3DS, Vita, and Mobile) My PC is portable too being a laptop since I'm mostly moving from place to place due to work and my home being far apart between commutes.
I've recently had lodging near work so I'm also thinking of getting a PS4 which should get me started into console gaming again (I had a Playstation 1 before which was my last home console).
