Newest Characters and 1.4 Banners for Honkai: Star Rail
In addition to what to expect for the version 1.4 update of Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoVerse previously released a sneak peek in X, formerly known as Twitter, on some details about the newest addition to Star Rail characters. The newest limited five-star characters are Jing Liu and Topaz, and the four-star character will be Guinafen. They will be featured in the new banners, along with the returnee Seele banner.
Jing Liu is an Ice Destruction unit, and just like Blade, she uses a stance system. She gains stacks upon casting her Skill or Ultimate, where she enters the Spectral Transmigration state after successfully having two stacks. During the spectral transmigration state, her attack is enhanced and she can only use her skill. In addition, she consumes HP from her allies, which increases her attack based on how much she accumulates.
Another five-star character is Topaz with her Warp Trotter partner, Numby, a Fire Hunt character. She debuffs enemies through her skills, which will increase based on how much damage they receive from follow-up attacks. Topaz can cast follow-up attacks using Numby. Numby can be very beneficial for Topaz because she can summon it on the field to look for items and gain extra credit after battles. Also, Numby can be used to game random curiosity in the simulated universe.
Lastly, the four-star character named Guinafen, a Fire Nihility character, is capable of throwing firecrackers toward enemies, which can cause fire damage and burns. And there is a chance she can passively generate a firekiss against the enemy, which causes them to receive increased damage from the burn.
In terms of new banners, Jing Liu will be in the first half and Topaz will be in the second one. The rate-up characters in Jing Liu’s banner will consist of Qingque, Sampo, and Tingyun. Guinafen, Luka, and Sushang will be in the second phase. During the second half of the 1.4 version, the returnee Seele banner will be re-run as well.
Once again, Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 Special Program will begin on October 11 this year, alongside the release of the PS5 version.
