Honkai: Star Rail version 1.6 leak reveals banners, returnee characters, a new game mode, and a few adjustments

Various leaks for the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail version 1.6 update have resurfaced, featuring the upcoming new playable characters, exciting banners, and events. It also revealed the appearance of a few characters that are set to rerun, along with the free character.

According to credible sources and teasers from official updates of HoYoVerse, the newest playable characters, including Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio, and Xueyi, will be available in the version 1.6 update. However, the developers haven’t made an official announcement regarding the release order and the 4-star characters that will join each banner. Leaks also revealed the appearance of the 4-star character Lynx, which is expected to be given for free to every player. But there are no details yet on how to obtain Lynx.

Five-star character Ruan Mei from the Path of Harmony with the Ice Element is the first banner for version 1.6, which is expected to go live by mid-to-late December 2023. Alongside Ruan Mei is the comeback of the 5-star character from the Destruction Path, Blade. Each update takes around five to six weeks to release; therefore, the release date is just some sort of speculation by the sources since the recent update goes live on November 15, 2023.

The second banner for Honkai: Star Rail version 1.6 will be Dr. Ratio, a 5-star character from Path of Hunt that is expected to be released by early to mid-January 2024. Alongside the banner of this much anticipated imaginary element-type character is the 4-star Xueyi . A 5-star lightning-type character from the Nihility Path, Kafka, is set to be rerun as well and will be featured in Dr. Ratio’s banner.

Aside from the newest addition to playable characters, fans must anticipate the new permanent game mode in version 1.6 known as Pure Fiction, where in each phase, players can obtain up to 720 Stellar Jades, which can be used for additional pulls.

In this new game mode, enemies will continuously respawn, and Trailblazers must take them down to redeem points. Worry not, as there will be various buffs to choose from in each phase to easily defeat your enemies. At the end of each battle, the highest score will be recorded.

Speaking of game mode, Forgotten Hall will receive a few changes where the stages will be expanded from ten to a dozen, offering an additional two challenges in each phase. These levels are expected to be more difficult than the previous levels. On top of that, 120 additional Stellar Jades will be added to Forgotten Hall in each phase, giving players a total of 720 Stellar Jades.

It is important to note that some of these leaks are not yet confirmed by HoYoVerse and might have some changes before its official release.
