First, let's talk about what is esports.

Esports is a form of sport competition using video games at the highest level it can be. Just like when any other sport was just created for fun at first, a lot of people got competitive and brought out a whole new industry that can produce a massive ground for entertainment, hobby, and jobs.

So how big it really is?

According to this article, esports made almost a billion of U.S. dollars in global market value. And is expected to reach 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2023. Who knew that a lot of money was going in just by sitting and playing in front of your gadgets?

Is it good to invest in esports?

As we all know, esports is still on its early stages and it has one the largest room for potential growth amongst other industries. Especially now that technology is improving and getting a lot better, esports will definitely live up to hype.

A lot of personalities around the globe have already involved themselves in the industry such as Shaquille O'Neal, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez and her husband Alex Rodriguez, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Stephen Curry, Drake, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr., Magic Johnson, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jordan.

Also one of the biggest companies have took the risk and started investing in esports. Namely Adidas, Coca-Cola, Disney, and Intel. Golden State Warriors, a 6-time NBA Champion team, also joined in and invested.

Especially now that it's getting bigger than ever, there is no better time to invest in it than now.

"In review, it seems like there's no better time to get in on esports in some way, shape, or form. As both viewership and participation continue to grow and therefore increase the money that can be within the space, there is no better time to invest."

I used to be big into watching League of Legends matches as during that time LoL was really the only game I played for a fair amount of time. I now barely play that game and really only tune in for Worlds or the odd Korean game here and there.
I enjoy watching fighting game streams, especially EVO, as fighting games are quite easy to follow and understand after reading these some articles., even for someone that doesn’t play them.
I’ve been playing a lot of Rocket League as of late, and I’ve been tuning in and watching some of those matches. It also helps that they have drops enabled on their channel and you can earn in game items.
