For those who always read our hero guides, rotation tips, and carrying tactics related posts, you will find this post repetitive. Why? Because I always mention this that is why I wonder this topic is always requested.

So as an added bonus, I'll give an advance tactic but it is not recommended for a solo player. It is called lane cutting.

Basic Rotation to get to level 4

Your rotation depends on your lane of course. So let me discuss the rotation for each lane.

Toplane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • Clear lane again.
  • Then get the gold crab.

Midlane
  • Clear the minion wave.
  • Get the buff. (But if you can't kill it because you are solo, then just go to your right side to kill the jungle monster)
  • Clear lane again.
  • Then go help the toplane in getting the crab.

Bottomlane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • Clear lane again.
  • Then get the gold crab

Basic Rotation #2

This needs a little cooperation from your teammates because you will be switching lanes.

Toplane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • Help in getting the buff if possible.
  • Clear midlane.

Then go back to toplane for the goldcrab.

Midlane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Then now you have two options, either switch to top or bottomlane.
  • If you will be getting the midleft buff, you are going top.
  • If you will be just killing the green jungle monster, you will go bottom.
  • As you are going to toplane, the top laner must go to your lane.
  • As you are going to bottomlane, at least 1 bottom laner must go to your lane.

Bottomlane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • If you are solo, then clear wave again. But if not, you or your lane partner may help in getting the buff.
  • Then go midlane.

Important Notes:

When switching top and mid, the midright buff will be free for one of the bottom laners.

When switching mid and bot, only one midlaner must rotate towards the midright buff and the other will clear the lane then go to toplane afterwards.

Basic Rotation #3 (Offlaner-centered)

Offlaner means a hero that is solo lane and that lane is opposite to the turtle lane. When you are first pick, your turtle lane is bottom. Turtle lane switches everytime kill the turtle is killed.

Offlane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • Clear lane again.
  • Then get the gold crab.
Midlane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Get buff.
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the green jungle monster.
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Go to turtle.

Turtle lane
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Kill the jungle monster.
  • Get buff.
  • Clear lane again.
  • Then get the gold crab.
  • Clear minion wave.
  • Go to turtle

Lane Cutting

Lane cutting is an advance tactic which requires a hero or recommendedly, lane partners to go in between the first two outer turrets of a lane. Commonly done in turtle lane.

How to lane cut properly?

Buy boots (you and your lane partner)
  • Rush in towards the middle of the first two outer turrets so that you can kill the minion waves in between the two turrets.
  • If you are successful in clearing the wave, you may now kill the jungle monster in their area.

Why do lane cutting?
  • You can steal their jungle monsters.
  • Your minion waves can deal damage to their turrets early on if the enemy laners choose to attack you.
  • You can delay their gold and XP.
  • You can interrupt their rotation.

Final Notes

As what I've said in the lane cutting lesson, rotations can be interrupted. This is where experience plays a huge part. Your decision making in the actual situations must be enhanced especially if you are a solo player because you will be paired with random teammates. Just a piece of advice, don't engage yourself in a fight that you know you cannot win.
