Yes! You can use your Wii U Pro Controller on your PC to play PC games. Your controller will be detected as an Xbox360 controller though, so button prompts might be confusing for some games. This is a perfect workaround if you don't want to use a Mayflash adaptor to use your Pro controller on your PC.

What you will need:
  • Wii U Pro Controller - US, JPN, or EU versions. No idea if it would work on 3rd Party controllers.
  • Bluetooth adapter - I highly recommend using a Toshiba Bluetooth adapter for maximum compatibility. However, you can use other Bluetooth adapters. I am currently using a generic one from JAPAN HOME Center for only 88 pesos.
  • PC - Obviously :) It is reported to be working on Windows 7. I am using Windows 8 and it is working fine.
  • Wii U - I highly recommend to NOT buy the Wii U Pro Controller ONLY as a PC controller. You will need a Wii U because there have been reports of the Pro Controller being disconnected from the computer after some use and then maintaining a pattern of only staying connected for a few seconds upon reconnecting. The best fix for this is to sync the controller with a Wii U and then try again. Also, you need a Wii U to play Super Smash Brothers 4.

What you need to do:

1. Install the Bluetooth adapter by using the Toshiba Bluetooth stack. Full details here:

2. Please note that if you don't have a Toshiba Bluetooth adapter, you just have proceed until the drivers are installed. You will know that you have successfully installed it if you noticed that the Toshiba stack software is installed, and there is a 30 day evaluation period prompt. If in case you have a Toshiba Bluetooth adapter, skip step 3 and proceed to step 4.

3. Follow the steps in this link to edit the registry, so that we can bypass the 30 day evaluation period:

4. Install WiinUSoft. This program will allow your Pro Controller to be detected as an Xbox360 controller.

5. Once installed, connect the Pro Controller using the Bluetooth assistant (The icon is located on the notification are of your taskbar).

6. Run WiinUSoft, then click Refresh. This should detect the controller. Click Attach as XInput device. Click the configure button to map the controls. Take note that the Xbox360 face buttons are reversed compare to the Pro Controller (XYAB, Pro controller has YXBA). I have mapped the controllers based on the position of the buttons.

7. Start the game that supports XInput. You might need to tweak this on your own as the configuration differs on every game. I currently use this to play fighting games on emulators (Dreamcast, Ps2).
