Huawei Nova 7i Unboxing and Impressions

Huawei has been a mainstay in the mobile phone industry ever since the Chinese brands have taken the industry by storm. Before it was only Samsung and Apple, now they have competitors that are really no joke and Huawei is one of them. However, controversy aired back then that caused Google to stop supporting Huawei products, but now, they seem to have taken care of it and is starting a resurgence of their products like never before.

Today, let's see what they have in store with the Nova 7i.


Upon opening the box, you can see with a phone and another box which contains the eject tool for the sim card and SD card slots. Alongside with that, there is a Type C charger which is the successor of the micro USB cables.



The great thing about this charger is that it is a supercharged 40w charger which is a fast charger that can definitely help you charge your device faster, from lowbattery to 70% can be filled within 30 minutes with that charger. Very great for those who are heavy phone users.



Finally, there's a wired earphones together with the instruction manual and guide for those who like to really go with the nitty gritty parts of the device.

The Device

There are 3 variants for this phone which have different colors of their cases, such color schemes are Crush Green, Sakura Pink and Midnight Black.



Big screen users will like this device with screen that is 6.4" FHD+, curved glass design and a resolution 2310 x 1080.

Bottom side is where you can find your Type C charger slot, a speaker grill and yes, a 3.5mm audio port! Camera-wise, this has a 48MP main sensor with a 2MP macro sensor and 2MP depth sensor, this phone also comes with a 16 MP front camera.



Huawei Apps

Without Google services, Huawei needs to step up and face the competition by making their own services. And thus, Huawei App Gallery was born. Let's give you a quick rundown of the system. Huawei App Gallery is the phone's own version of the Google Play Store.



Every phone has a version of the App Gallery allowing you access to the apps that you know and love. To search seamlessly, you can also find the Petal Search Widget. This widget allows you access to the App Gallery and other third party websites.



To have it, just download "Petal Search" in the App Gallery. Then, press and hold or pinch with two fingers to access the widget options, find the Petal Search and place it anywhere you like. Then. by the use of the widget just type an application you wish to install then it will be there. Quick and easy.



Finally, let's talk about Phone Clone, it is a neat application for Huawei users that you can transfer old files from your old phone to your Huawei phone. It does not matter if you have a Huawei as an old phone or not, it is available at the Google Play Store.

So get it there so you can transfer more seamlessly.




Performance

As for the performance of the applications, since Huawei have a Kirin 810 which is an octa-core processor with Mali G52 GPU and a 8GB RAM, playing through games, softwares and applications will be no problem at all. Having a ROM size of 128GB, gives you all the power you can to expand your storage and do a lot of things in your device so just download away! The fact that it is using EMUI 10, the response time for the apps and the interface is very smooth.
