Or so the leaks say. But the leaker has a positive reputation among the top gaming news media among like EuroGamer and it has also been reported by others so it is no wonder why the leaker is confident to say that the next Call of Duty game is based on the Cold War. With that out of the way, let's see what we have in store.

Treyarch, the developer of the Black Ops series of Call of Duty seems to be planning to return to its historical roots as it touches down to the Cold War. Since the first Black Ops game started in 1960s, in the Cold War era, it is nice to be returning back to cover more about this war. There are a lot of things that happened in the duration of this conflict for both parties and gamers will definitely benefit in learning more about it, if they stay true to the time that they are going to set it in ofcourse.

There have been nods about the teased game to be in Cold War as one of the most popular game right now, Call of Duty Warzone has recently updated the game to the fact that they are opening bunkers which may be a hint for Cold War since nuclear bunkers were such a thing back then when the threat of nuclear mutually assured destruction was felt all over the world.

With these all coming down, COD has covered majority of the conflicts that has happened from WW1 until the Cold War. I am curious if they will tackle the more intricate details in the war such as the Vietnam and Korean Wars, despite being proxy wars, participants of the Cold War had swore allegiance to both sides which make them included in the Cold War. But we can all do these in speculation as we wait for the official announcement the developers will do soon. Do you believe in the leaks? Or would you rather wait for the official announcement?
