Add to that, fans can also look forward to the collectible packaging that will be featured through this collaboration as it will have the fan favorite Jujutsu Kaisen characters.

The collaboration was first teased by McDonald’s on July 1, 2024. It was through a cryptic tweet saying “Something SPECIALZ coming.” Fans of the anime were quick to crack the code and were able to immediately recognize that it references King Gnu’s SPECIALZ song, which is the opening theme in the second half of JJK season 2.

After only a few hours, an official confirmation was released by McDonald’s. A poster featuring well-known characters of Jujutsu Kaisen, including Ryomen Sukuna, Satoru Gojo, Kento Nanami, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, was unveiled.

The collaboration will feature a “Special Grade Garlic Sauce” that will be available starting on July 9, 2024. It can only be purchased through the McDonald’s app. In case you are wondering where the sauce got its name from, the limited-edition sauce was named after the Special Grade classification given to the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen and Curses.

To further excite the fans, McDonald’s has released individual images of the Special Grade Garlic Sauce packaging, with each packet featuring different characters of the anime, even including famous villains like Mahito and Suguru Geto.
