MANILA, Philippines, August 5, 2019—16 teams fought for survival last Sunday, August 4, 2019, for the Rules of Survival grand finals of the Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019’s second season, and after five maps of intense Battle Royale action, Bren Esports emerged as the grand champions.
The squad was one of the easy favorites to win the entire tournament, but their path to victory wasn’t exactly easy. What made Bren Esports standout from the rest of the contenders were their consistent placings and off the charts kill scores. In total, the boys clad in black and yellow scored an impressive 1085 points to take home PHP 160,000, the lion’s share of the PHP 300,000 prize pool.
