League Of Legends: Wild Rift is the biggest contributor of Riot Games for their mobile revenue amounting in $100 million

Developer Riot Games, has gained a revenue of over $100 million with its mobile games.


This is according to Sensor Tower’s data. The mobile games which Riot Games has launched since March 2020: Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and League of Legends: Wild Rift were the ones that were highlighted as the major contributors to this huge revenue.


Teamfight Tactics, which is an auto chess game, was the first mobile game Riot Games launched. With over 15 million downloads, the game has generated since then a $27.5 million in player spending. For Legends of Runeterra, which was first launched in April 2020, was installed over 13 million times and earned $16.2 million.

Riot Games biggest contributor when it comes to mobile revenue, League of Legends: Wild Rift, launched in October 2020, has then accumulated 46.3 million downloads and earned $64.7 million to date.

Gross revenue from the three reached the highest in the second quarter of 2021 generating $36.5 million. The overall combined lifetime revenue of the three aforementioned mobile games amounts to $108.4 million. The three countries that have the highest proportion of player spending is the US, South Korea, and Brazil. However, in contrast, Brazil has the highest mobile downloads with 7.4 million, followed by South Korea, and lastly the US.

Other than this, Riot Games seems to want to expand more in the mobile game scene since the developer plans to bring Valorant into mobile devices and also, they will release a League of Legends animated series, titled Arcane. in Netflix that is expected to launch later this year.
