A new Lego kit where you can build a Pac-Man arcade cabinet has been unveiled by LEGO in partnership with Bandai-Namco.
Before you get too enthused, Pac-Man cannot be played on it. However, it appears that the set will also come with a display model of Blinky, Clyde, and Pac-Man himself in addition to the cabinet. A short vignette of a female minifig using her own little Pac-Man arcade machine will also be displayed on the cabinet itself. When the main cabinet is finished being built, the back panel will open to allow for the storage of the vignette.
Inside the cabinet are several moving mechanisms, as seen in a product photograph. We won't know what it does until the set releases on June 1; according to the product announcement, the coin slot will light up and other functions are handwaved as "easter eggs".
LEGO VIP members will have early access to buy the LEGO PAC-MAN Arcade set from LEGO.com/PAC-MAN and LEGO Stores starting June 1, 2023, or it will be accessible to everyone starting June 4, 2023, at the recommended retail price of $269.99 / €269.99 / £229.99. which converts to roughly 16,000 Philippine Peso.
