Lenovo suspends the development of its Legion gaming phone lineup

The last news that we have heard about Lenovo’s Legion gaming phone was in August last year but after that, not much was announced about the device until it finally went into a long hiatus. And now, it seems the reason behind it has been revealed and it's because Lenovo has discontinued its Legion gaming phone business.

A spokesperson of Lenovo has confirmed the discontinuing of the Legion phone lineup. They stated that:

“Lenovo is discontinuing its Android-based Legion mobile gaming phones as part of a wider business transformation and gaming portfolio consolidation. As a leader in gaming devices and solutions, Lenovo is committed to advancing the gaming category across form factors, as well as focusing on where it can bring the most value to the global gaming community.”

As Lenovo’s Legion gaming phones have left the industry, all that’s left now are the Asus ROG Phone lineup, Nubia Red Magic series and Xiaomi’s Black Shark phones. Lenovo Legion phones will be missed as it had some memorable designs including side pop-up selfie cameras, dual charge ports and dedicated cooling fans.
