Logitech G and Tencent’s cloud gaming handheld appears to run Android

In partnership with Tencent Games, Logitech G announced earlier this month that it will launch a “cloud gaming handheld” later this year. Not much is known about the handheld until Evan Blass leaked the images for the device, which were immediately removed due to DMCA complaint.

The design of the device looks similar to the one seen in Tencent patent filings for a “PC console”, which isn’t that surprising. But the most important aspect of this device, that was seen in the leaked images, was that it runs Android and even has a Google Play Store.

The companies are also in talks to feature Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now on the device and both have Android apps already. Add to that, the leaked image also showed a Steam icon, so maybe the two companies have secured another important partner.

As Logitech’s forte are the controls and connectivity, these are the key aspects of the handheld and the image has shown Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. For the 5G version of the device, it is still unknown.
