Guest Den Gerard
In this interview with guest Den Gerard, we explore his interests in games and hobbies, particularly his fondness for survival horror games and his penchant for playing even the worst games which he describes as "Open World Fatigue". Den reveals his unique role as a stunt double and his involvement in writing and directing. He is part of the line-up of talents for “Irregular Programming,” a show that features fun and genuine interactions between top content creators in the Philippines.
Amouranth
This is for Amouranth fans like Chelle, but before that I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of her. Anyway did you know she going to have a new business? Take a guess first! Well, apparently she is going to the beer industry, wholesome right? She has partnered with a Polish company “The Order Of Yoni” to put her flavor on the beer. This is how its described, her “Yeast” from her PP will be used as a flavor. For research purposes, it involves the isolation of lactic acid bacteria. This is to make sure that only lactobacillus bacteria is used and it claims to be completely healthy, so like Yakult? Will you buy it?
Dota 2 International Prize Pool
The prize pool for Dota 2’s The International (TI) is expected to increase, with the base prize pool being raised from $1.6 million to a record $3 million. As of this writing, the prize pool is at least $3 million. Influencer Eva Elfie plans to contribute money she earns from OnlyFans to this prize pool and has announced her attendance at The International. This information was shared on Instagram.
Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey
Winnie the Pooh is a beloved character that was initially owned by Disney. However, the license expired and it is now in the public domain. This has led to the creation of various adaptations, including the Hundred Acre Wood game and a horror slasher movie called “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”. The movie features characters from Winnie the Pooh and was released some time ago. It is getting a sequel, this time with Tiger. According to a statement, the movie was shown to fourth-grade students in a school. Despite some students expressing discomfort with the content, the teacher did not stop the movie. It’s important to note that while “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” is a real movie, it is not an official Disney production. The movie is not suitable for children and contains graphic content.
PS5 Slim Disc Issue
In our previous conversation, we discussed the slimmer version of the PS5, which comes in two versions: one with a disk and one digital. We also learned that if you purchase the digital version, you can buy a disc drive separately in the future. However, there is a catch. According to a Twitter user dadk1x, the PS5 slim box requires an internet connection to pair the disc drive during setup. This raises questions about why the detachable disc drive is not plug-and-play and what happens if you don’t have an internet connection. Since there is online verification, Sony can technically make it stop working. On the bright side, it seems like you only need to do this once, and it may be to prevent piracy
Riot Games AI Art
AI has come a long way and can now perform a variety of tasks, such as generating articles, creating photos, videos, and more. In our previous conversation, we discussed how Gollum developers are using AI to create apologies. According to Dexerto, Riot Games is under fire from their fanbase after a Wild Rift fan artist named “QinHuaiYu” claimed on Twitter that the company plagiarized their work through AI. The artist revealed that their work, as well as other artists’, was taken and used by AI without their consent or permission. Currently, the artist is negotiating with officials and hopes that the matter can be handled properly. So far, the artist has received support from fans while others have expressed frustration. It’s important to note that this is not an isolated incident and that AI image generators need to be trained using other people’s work. As of the time of this writing, there is no conclusion yet, and Riot Games has not responded on the matter.
Estudyante Esports
DARK League Studios, an entertainment organizer, is launching a program called Estudyante Esports, which is designed to support students aspiring to have careers in esports. Currently, Dark League Studios has had engagements with 51 schools across the country, including Adamson University, Lyceum of the Philippines U, and University of Santo Tomas. They are set for a convention later this year with the program officially rolling out in 2024.
